Just had to say that to date, and the book just came out, it has been read by this reader 2 times. LOVE THIS BOOK. Red Phoenix has the unique gift of bringing all of her characters to life in the pages of her books.The story of Socrates (Don) & Cherry Blossom (Kathryn) evolves around an on-line BDSM site that Socrates has and progresses from there into them actually meeting. No spoilers here - not my thing, It is so well written that you will find yourself lost in the pages of this book in no time at all.
It is a short read but what a wonderful read it is. Would love to see the story of Don and Kathryn continue but will leave that in the hands of this amazing author..
If you have never read Red Phoenix books you have truly missed some wonderful reading material.

After reading about 15% of the story I had to put it down to stop my head spinning. Kathryn is my age, she and I are single, no kids, and have recently discovered some very interesting facets of ourselves. I felt what, deja vu? Not sure, but wanted to see where this was going so onward I read. And I loved every word. Every feeling was so real to me, and despite the short novella style, the story was very complete. Not to say I don't want to see more of these characters, I certainly do. What an interesting man Socrates is! Please, Don...teach me more!
You've created a well crafted sexy tale that leaves the reader panting for more. Socrates was a kind, caring, knowledgeable, sexual beast! Everything a woman could possibly want in a Dominant. I honestly hope this isn't the last we hear from Kathryn. I'm intrigued to learn about Cherry Blossom's search for a Dom. What I found most endearing was a story told from the perspective of an older woman. Rarely do you see women over the age of 45 discussed in BDSM stories. Loved this book, looking forward to your next story. Well done!
I loved Socrates Inspires Cherry to Blossom! For someone still really new to the world of kink and BDSM it gives many pointers, sayings and facts about the lifestyle through Kathryn's curiosity and journey into submission. I feel in love with Socrates the man has many levels to him Dom, teacher, spiritual, kind, gentle, trusting.

I am a huge Red Phoenix fan but I am in awe of her newest work. She captures perfectly the way Kathryn ( Cherry Blossom ) believes and feels about the kinky side of sex, basically, this is not for me. Kathryn is intrigued by Socrates and his open, honest answers during his online chats. He also has pay per view one on one sessions with different temporary subs. She decides to watch one. You may think you know what will occur but the ending is sexy but not cliche. Red Phoenix has even us a small gem of the depths of a true, if brief, D/s relationship. How a sexual encounter between adults can produce a moment of clarity, of rebirth. I know I will be thinking of Socrates for a long time. Do not be surprise if you have the same reaction. Fantastico.
Red Phoenix is brilliant at creating appealing characters and Socrates and Kathryn are both not only very relatable as real people but as their story unfolds Kathryn feels all the feelings that I have felt in my life and would have responded to Socrates much as Kathryn does. He is my fantasy Dom, and rather than describing him here, I will allow the reader to experience him as he reveals himself in this story. He is pure joy and as hot as they come. I pray we have not seen the end of him, I would encourage Ms. Phoenix to create more tales of Socrates and I would also hope that we can accompany Kathryn on her journey. This is a page turner and a wonderful read.
Short, sexy, informative, and touching. Red Phoenix has created Socrates, a Dom with wisdom and great abs! Cherry, age 49 and single, meets him online and is a bdsm virgin. I really like that this sub is older, and that she is new to the lifestyle. The description of Socrates' live events with subs and later him meeting Cherry, blew me away. The sage advice of his to subs is excellent for anyone new to or currently in the lifestyle. I was pleasantly surprised by his career. I did identify with Cherry and her desire to try the lifestyle.

My only complaint is that I hope there is more. Don't leave me hanging, Red! I hope this turns into a series much like Brie.
While this is a standalone, it has the potential for more...so I'm hoping! I can relate to this book so much since Kathryn is of my generation and at around her age, I found myself single. This book has some valuable information for anyone thinking of entering the lifestyle, especially if they are a submissive female. One can never be to careful in choosing a Dom and this book makes that clear, but it also gives insight on how to go about seeking likeminded individuals and what expect when doing so. Keep in mind, this is a novella, so this isn't a deep discussion, and it is fiction, so it isn't a how-to manual, but one can learn from it. I loved Socrates. He is an example of a good Dom trying to help a new submissive find herself. Cherry Blossom (Kathryn) is a 49 year-old woman, who has figured out she is a submissive and is now trying to maneuver through the process of discovering that side of herself and finding her Dominant. See how Socrates helps Cherry in her process. Yes... I want more! )
